Darwin Harbour Cruises is a locally owned and operated family business that founded the massively popular Darwin Pearl Lugger Cruises in 1996. They then extended their horizons with the purchase of the 19-metre “Tumlaren” in 1999, to be Darwin’s first Dinner Cruise to be included in all the major domestic travel brochures. Due to the limited space and the huge popularity of the Dinner Cruises, (you simply could not book a place in the Dry) it was time to expand again. In 2004 they took on their biggest restoration project to date with the purchase of the “Alfred Nobel”, a stunning 30m wooden schooner. Darwin Harbour Cruises has expanded yet again with the purchase of the ‘Charles Darwin’ in 2010. Under the expert eye of David Beaumont-Smith the vessel has been tastefully refurbished and now boasts a classy interior and the most modern of amenities. This stunning tri level catamaran can cater for up to 270 passengers.
